Check me out I received my second retighten. From my new consultant Jasmin Johnson. Very talented young lady. She is only 21 and a certified sisterlocks consultant, salon owner, and certified licensed cosmetologist. You go girl. Very friendly young lady and very speedy. This time she finished me up in 3hours. Not bad not bad. She also created a nice up do as well. My hair is growing on 12/23/13 I will celebrate 23 months with my sisterlocks.I am getting closer to my 2 year mark. Ms.Jasmine told me that my hair is locked too. I didn't think they were so that good to hear. If she tells me they are I am rolling with it lol. Anyways check out the pictures below! Yesterday was my last day at my practicum placement for the end of the semester. Thank goodness. I enjoyed my placement but I am tired and i am so ready to rest for one month before I start back up and complete my last and final semester in my graduate school career.
I found a new consultant that is just as great as Ms.Tanisha. her name is Jasmine Johnson. She retighten my sisterlocks in 3.5 hours. I told ppl that Ms.Tanisha is not the only that can do it I think it may have been less than that but I'm a chatterbox. Lol. I did not do a style this time but next time. She has been a licensed cosmologist for the last 8 or 9 years and a certified sisterlocks consultant for several years. Very friendly, professional, nice salon, great conversation and smart young lady. Now here is the kicker..I wanna say she is like 23 years old. She staryed doing hair at age 14. She received her cosmology licensed @ 16 and by 17 or 18 years old she was a certified Sisterlocks consultant. Very impressive. She is a Very talented young woman. Def check her out. My linesister/tail got married and I was so happy and excited to be able to share that special day with her. She was a beautiful bride and looked absolutely amazing. Here are a few pictures of her and her husband, son,, my linesisters, and one of my ADPs. AND of course, my Sisterlocks.... sn ppl kept giving me tons of compliments on my sisterlocks hairstyle. All I did was give myself a massive part.Also people noticed the weight lost and were complimenting me on that as well! I don't know about you but its always a great feeling to get a compliment. Lol. Good afternoon everyone! This is somewhat of a rant. I forgot to post this. It appears that I have been having the hardest time finding a new/right consultant and or trainee for me. Last month I had a horrible experience with a trainee and this month I had another one. I just want to get my hair retighten guys.
So I am on the search for a licensed cosmetologist and sisterlocks trainee or consultant. So far I have found at least 5 within 1hour of me. But before I found them, I went to someone in my area and on the website to retighten my hair. And she looked at my hair and asked how long had I had my SL and I told her 2 years. She begins to tell me that my hair should have loced a long time ago and she can seal the ends and the ends should have been sealed on my hair. I politely told her. "One thing about me is that I love my hair and I am not concern with when or even if my hair locs. I like my ends as they are and I like the floppy fro look of my hair and I like my current texture of my hair.Your the first and only person that has ever told me that something was wrong with my hair and that I needed it fix"
Now the lady was nice and it was nice atmosphere or what not. And she really did a good job on retighten my hair and even wrote a posr about her. But I am not going to knock her for that I will def give credit when its due. But what she said didnt sit well with me andbhad been I n my mind all thus week and I dicussed it with both of my old consultants and they were offended and said there was nothing wrong with my sisterlocks.
Needless to say I won't be back to her and it took her 5 hours to retighten my hair. I'm sorry that's too long for me. Esp. When your a certified consultant and have been doing Sisterlocks since 03. Now I will fess up and say that it had been a little over 5 weeks and I normally go in every 4 weeks but that was ths earliest that she could get me in. So that could have played a factor on the time. I may never know. My previous consultant got me out in under 4 and tanisha brown whobstarted my locs got got me out in under 3.
Not to sound rude or cocky but some people really rattle my feathers. I felt like she was milking me and wanted me to feel like my hair was oh so terrible. I go every 4 weeks faithfully and the creator of sisterlocks has even seen my hair and said she loves them and i am featured on the offical SL website. What your not going to do is tell me my hair is messed up and my first consultant who started my locs should have done my hair a certain way and by coming to her shes going to get my hair in shape. Mine you I went to a few consultantion with some other trainees and consultant and they all said who ever started and maintained my SL did a great job. LADY GOOD DAY AND GOOD BYE...
And this is why I ask people to shout out their consultant and or trainee so ppl can and will know who to and not to go to...
