After admiring/researching sisterlocks for 2 months, I decided it was the right choice for me. After 3 years of being a loose natural, I was ready to embark on a new journey. This blog is about my journey to becoming sisterlocked and hopefully it is helpful for individuals thinking about getting their hair locked but have been afraid to take the final step.(Plz do not use any of my pics w/o my consent. Thanks!)

Almost 26 months
Check out my hair... I will celebrate 26th months on march 23,2014.....
Wow I read where you started out with about 8 inches of hair..did you experience much shrinking during the locking process? I am seriously thinking of getting sister locs and I know my hair is probably longer than 12 inches. I really don't want to loose half of my length.
Hey thank you for stopping by my page! My hair shrunk up when I was a loose natural. But for the first year I kept my hair in various updos. But if you think about it. Sisterlocks have no weight to them. Mainly bc your not pulling into on them to weigh them down Vs.traditional locs which are heavier.... some ppl do braidouts to help with the shrinkage.
