Fresh retighten,Farwell and Hello

On June 23,2014 I celebrated 29 months with my sisterlocks. On July 2nd 2014 I had my last retighten from my consultant Ms.Gia. she is moving to Hawaii for her job. I can't even be upset. I'm happy for her, but a little bummed that she is leaving. I did however meet with a new consultant and I am schedule to gave a retighten with her August 7th. She seems pretty nice. Below is my final retighten with Ms.Gia.

About Two weeks ago was loc appreciation day. I didnt do anything special on that day. But i do love my sisterlocks. I lost a loc... It came out when I was washing my hair. It was my fault I was not washing it correctly.first one in 29th months.

Also happy 4th of July to everyone.Be safe and have fun!

Loc knots anyone?

I set this style with water and I i left them in for 12 hours. I think one side looks better than the other. Maybe I should make them smaller next time. Its rare i out products in my hair. So I know there is a good chance that these will drop by the end of the day. But a cute simple and EASY STYLE to do your hair. Enjoy

Pups, sisterlocks, head bands, & head wraps.

Update
This post was posted on March 9,2014. But I put the wrog website down. My apoligies guys...
Random title but I decided to let my dog be great and get a selfie for the world. He loves to wrap his body around my neck when I pick him up. But recently I bought about 7 headwraps from www.thenaturalmeonline.com and they threw in a free one! (Winning!) The wraps feel tight going on but its not tight when on your head. I wore mines all day and it did not hurt.
I also bought sample sizes of their shea butters. They smell so good and stay on your body for a long time. I think a lot of people use it for their hair. I just use it a lotion after I get out the shower. I love the pineapple scent.
But below I have posted some pictures of 2 of the head wraps I rocked over the weekend.
PS... please look at their tutorials on their website but I thought I had too much hair for the wraps but your hair can def fit in the wrap no matter how big you think your head is or how thick your hair is. But def give them a try. Its a perfect accessory to your hair collection.
Thanks for reading, subscribing, and/or viewing my page. Until next time....

Goodbye Afro, Hello Sisterlocks

My fro Aug. 2011

What made you go natural and how long have you been Natural? Did you transition or BC?
My last perm was in 2007 and I BC on April 17, 2009, which means I have been natural for almost 32 months. It may sound cheesy or really simple but I literally woke up one day and thought "Why do I have to have a relaxer? What is wrong with my hair the way it is?" From there I transitioned for about 16 months. It wasn’t that hard for me because I transitions with various types of braids and I cut my perm ends off bit by bit.  Eventually, I had a stylist do my BC and have not looked back since.
SN: If you would like to see pictures of my natural hair journey along with tips on how to maintain your natural hair click on THIS LINK  or PICS LINK to my natural hair pages.
What made you decide to loc your hair?
You know I find it funny that I am pursuing getting locs because I'm that person who always has some sort of protective, creative hairstyle. Also as soon as I BCed my hair my personal goal was to have my afro grow and get so big that when I went to the movies the person behind me would be upset.lol. Well, I reached my goal. lol. I was also the natural who said I would never get locs.
Ultimately what brought me to the loc side was I was at a turning point in my natural journey. I was either going to cut my hair back down to a TWA or do something else to it.  I say that because my hair is thick and takes some time to do. And to be honest, I was getting really tired of detangling my hair. I wanted to have a ready made style, that all I had to do is just get up and go.

SN: Also it is really rare that I even wear my loose hair out in a fro unless I am get my ends trimmed, and then I would twist my hair back up.
That’s when I began researching locs. Though I never thought I would get them, I've always admired locs even before my natural days. Then one day I just stumbled upon Sisterlocks. I couldn't believe they were....locs! I mean they were so tiny; they almost resembled loose natural hair. I was in awe and amazed. I researched Sisterlocks and, l as you know I am trying to get them.
Below I have posted some pictures of my hair over the years...
