Hello everyone I graduated with my Master in Clinical Social Work on 12/13/14. I decided to do curls but I didn't separate them BC I have a lot of hair. They dropped just right on the big day. Below are some pictures of my big day. Until next time!

After admiring/researching sisterlocks for 2 months, I decided it was the right choice for me. After 3 years of being a loose natural, I was ready to embark on a new journey. This blog is about my journey to becoming sisterlocked and hopefully it is helpful for individuals thinking about getting their hair locked but have been afraid to take the final step.(Plz do not use any of my pics w/o my consent. Thanks!)

Loc knots anyone?
I set this style with water and I i left them in for 12 hours. I think one side looks better than the other. Maybe I should make them smaller next time. Its rare i out products in my hair. So I know there is a good chance that these will drop by the end of the day. But a cute simple and EASY STYLE to do your hair. Enjoy

Feb. 23, 2013 I celebrated 13 months!
As the titled stated I celebrates my 13 month sisterlocks anniversary. This look for a collab hairstyle. Normally I go to the salon and sit down and tell my style to do whatever she wants to my hair. This day I had a style in mind. I wanted the back and side all flat twisted to the side and I wanted skinny, bouncy curls on the side. It turned out great! Unfortunately I don't have a creative title for this hairstyle. You know the crazy thing is my stylist did a length check in the back of my hair stretched out my sisterlocks are brastrap length. Strinkage is real I tell ya. Smh.
Anywho(my favorite word, that's not a word.lol) its also crazy bc I don't get to look at the back of head a lot and its good to know that my back loc are still tiny! My sisterlocks have already swelled up to aa much as they will swell up to. Thank you to my consultant Tanisha Brown for starting my sisterlocks and making them this size. Also thank you to Zelda Barnes in Virginia for maintaining my sisterlocks while in this beautiful state. And last but not least thank you Faith from black butterflies for creating this look! If anyone wants a great hairstylist who specializes in natural hair and locs give Faith a call!
Cheap plug time:
If your in va and want sisterlocks give Zelda Barnes a call and lastly if you live in st.Louis and want sisterlocks, style, color, cut, natural hair,sew-ins, etc give Tanisha Brown owner of beauty by design a call.

I love curls,curls,curls,Curls
after removing the loc loops |
Check them out... Tell me what you think. 4 flat twists on the side and loc loops seal in the deal. I achieved this look with using only water.
8 months in and I still love my sisterlocks! I love how lightweight they feel and I love the natural fullness and body of my super thick hair.
Thanks for viewing!
