Length check at 11 months

Everyone loves a nice length check. Also this is my favorite lounge clothing. I'm very aware that this does not match. Lol

Happy 11th Month SLanniversary to ME!

YAY! I took a day 1 and month 11 comparison picture. Also I took some random pictures as well. Although my hair shrunk up, my hair def has grown a lot and made excellent progression... I hope to reach my hair goal by summer '13.   Anywhk here are some random freestyle pictures I took when I got bored lol.

Wild n crazy sisterlocks

I got bored... But basically I'm rocking a Freestyle look. I used the wake up with curls rollers, put on a handband, then shook my head from side to side up and down. So I call it wild n crazy!

Hair locking?

A lot of ppl ask me am I concern with my hair locking. To be honest, I could care less if it does or doesn't. As long as I can continue to style my hair as much as I want, when I want I'm happy. I love my jet black hair, and I have never been one to care about dying my hair. One day I might color, I'm lying. Lol. If I do I probably will use a spray you know the kind you can wash out with shampoo. If they don't make those kind I probably won't ever color. I'm happy with natural hair color. I have enjoyed my sisterlock process literally every single day. I go in for a reti in a few days!  Craziness I can't believe in 9 days I will been 11 month and in 1 month and 9 days I will be a year! Time really does fly! Thanks for reading... 10 months of fun

Hello everyone! I just realize that I never posted the collage of some of my favorite styles... I celebrated 10 month with my SL on Nov.23rd and I am still happy with my decision... It's also really cool when I get messages from people and they tell me that my blog helped them decide that SL were the right decision for them. Also thank you everyone for all the nice comments and liking all of my hairstyles. It is greatly appreciated!

10 months never looked so good!

I'll be 10 months on the 23rd. My hair is growing, its no longer itchy, or dry, and it still has no weight to it. My hair is even shiny, and soft to the touch.  People often ask do I spray anything on my hair. I don't use any products on my hair at all.  I bought some castor oil bc I heard it promoted hair growth but I never used it on my hair. I just use it for my legs and arms. I don't want to depend on any products to achieve any looks. My "something different" updo however was achieves using a foam moose that held the curls. My SL were still soft and it washed out find. My hair wasn't hard or crunchy.  I am excited to see what my hair will look like in 2 month. My hair goal is for my hair to reach my shoulders in its shrunken state by my one year mark ans my ideal goal is for my hair to reach my SL to reach armpit/past collar bone by 1 1/2 mark. After that ill probably start cutting it. I'm not a fan of super long hair. I like my hair long enough to style. I don't just want super long hair for no reason. Again my preference. I know some may disagree but that's what I want for me. Below watch a video of my SL at my most recent reti. (11/18/2012)

Wake up with curls by goodys

Leaving these in for 8 hours. I rolled these on dry hair. So we shall see. I used them the other day and it came out ok. Next time ill try on slightly damp hair. See you guys in a few hours.

Head band action

First time using a headband and I like it. Typically not a freestyle person but I'm happy with this simply look.  I also like this infinitely scarf I need more of these in my life. Thanks for viewing!

My hair was sooooo dirty that I had to give it a good washing before my reti yesterday. I realize that I never showed you guys how I B&B. This is how I band my hair. I don't braid it I only band. I have been doing this since day 1. Have a happy Monday everyone!

Something Different

Trying out a braid out

Some pictures of my braids a friend did for me.. The last picture is right after my retighten. I am taking the braids out tomorrow morning. I left them in for 2 days.

9 months already!

Time really does fly by... On the 23rd of this month I will celebrate my sisterlocks anniversary... And this month also marks 3.5 years that I have been natural.

I was gonna post this in 3 days to celebrate my 9month sisterlocks anniversary but I couldnt take it. Lol... Look at the growth! Also check out the 17 lb weight lost. You can def tell in my face!

Updo for homecoming

New hairdo compliments of my old stylist. When I was a loose natural I went to her every 2 weeks... Unfortunately she's not a sisterlocks trainee or consultant. she specializes in natural hair and locs but not in sisterlocks... I'm trying to encourage her to go the class. In the meantime ill be making 2 trips. 1. To my trainee consultant and 2 to my stylist....

Curls I do adore... Happy Monday everyone!
Check them out... Tell me what you think. 4 flat twists on the side and loc loops seal in the deal. I achieved this look with using only water.
8 months in and I still love my sisterlocks! I love how lightweight they feel and I love the natural fullness and body of my super thick hair.
